I hope YOU had a BOOtiful weekend sweet ones!
I did, that's for sure! We enjoyed live music and festivities down by the lake on Friday night AND we had so much fun last night at our friend's annnual Halloween party! I wish you could see her home - it is absolutely AWESOME (please tell me - what is the new word for "awesome".. there HAS to be a better one!) Michelle is SO talented with her decor... I need to take pictures of her home for you to see.
Today we relaxed, and I also made some S'more Brownies... found the recipe in a Taste of the South magazine...
Let's just say....
SINFULLY DELICIOUS!
And that's okay, right?
Here's the recipe....
S'more Brownies
1 box brownie mix
10 whole graham cracker squares, broken into pieces
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup milk chocolate morsels
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Mix brownie mix according to package directions. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 18 minutes.
Remove from oven. Sprinkle with graham cracker pieces, pressing down lightly. Sprinkle evenly with marshmallows and chocolate morsels. Return to oven, and continue baking for 12 minutes. Let cool, and cut into squares.
Now see, IF you had been walking by our porch, I would have offered you a brownie!
My porch is the one where the pumpkins keep growing! ;-)
And that's okay too, right?
xo,
Me
The brownies look so good! ~Mandy

Wow, everything looks "awesome"!! Just had to say that. I need to know the new word too. I confess that I sometimes still say, "Cool!"

Kim,
You're to yummy for words. The brownies are not awesome....another word.....they're
AMAZING! I've started getting in the Halloween mood, too, this cooler weather puts one right in the spirit. Started some decorating yesterday...see yesterday's post.

This recipe sounds like a keeper! I am going to put it away for the holidays when all my "boys"( now men) are home; they always loved s'mores.

Well Kim, Everything is darling here of course, and the brownies yummy! But the newest "word" for "awesome" that I've heard circulating among college students of course is "sick nasty"! Can you imagine? I think I'll just stick with "old words" such as awesome, darling and yummy! They just have a much more pleasant ring to my ears!! ((((HUGS DEAR)))))
Posted by: Rachel Going | October 20, 2008 at 10:09 AM
Kim, my coffee needs a brownie this morning...any left? Looks like a great recipe that I will have to give a try!
Your porch is just fabulous as is your neighborhood. I bet you all had such a fabulous time together! Awesome is a good word as is RAD, HIP, NARLY, FABTABULOUS, ROCKIN' ...just some "cool" words from California. ha ha.

Hmmmm...is that wonderful broomstick waiting for it's owner to come by and ride it off of the porch!! She'd be a good witch, I know, 'cause she's visiting YOUR sweet home.
Oh, and though I like the word awesome, my 14 year old daughter uses "uber" (sounds like goober without the g)...as in, "that was an uber-delicious brownie"!!
Peace be yours, sweet lady.

Instead of awesome, how about "Brilliant"? The English and Irish say it all of the time and it just sounds so great.
