Our daughter found this blue chair in the alley...
I love it when the sun peeks through the windows..
Actually, I love it when a bed can be placed underneath a window.
I think it makes for sweeter sleeping! :-)
Just thought I'd share what I've been up to..
And, of course, I'm not done! BUT, I'm having fun! ;-)
(the colors are "off" - I'll try to catch the room on another day when the light is natural)
I always love your use of color in your home...it's like opening a new box of crayons...Love it!
Best wishes for a beautiful day!

It is so hard to capture the true color in pictures isn't it? Your home looks beautiful. There's nothing like a day of just puttering and fluffing. :)

AH! Sooo much better :) I love it!
Well, maybe not as much as my Tiffany blue, but it certainly comes close ;)
Miss you

Are you mak9ng that cute daisy afghan? I seem to remember making those with some sort of plastic thingy when I was a kid. The blue chair is so cute, the things people throw away!

Well, I live in a garden home that's practically a dungeon. But quite soon my remodeler is knocking out two walls for two sets of French doors on adjacent walls. Light will come into the dining room, and I can see my gardens!

Hello Kim!
I agree a bed placed underneath a window is a good thing and makes for a cozy sleep, especially in a mild winter when the window is just slightly cracked allowing a gentle cooling breeze to whisper through...wonderful indeed. You and your family have a lovely weekend!
Smiles...

That afghan is adorable! Is that one of your fabulous finds or did you make it? I would love the name of the pattern if you have it. Your home is beautiful

What a beautiful room, it seems fit for a princess. Is this your daughters room? If so she's a very lucky little girl (or maybe not so little) to have a mom who is so talented to be able to make rooms like this.
It looks like something in a magazine. Great job.

Your house is so bright and cheerful. It always makes you feel good to move and shuffle and make things a little different, though, doesn't it. Pretty post.

I love how cozy your room looks. I would love to know more about the afghan and see more detail to try to figure out how it was done.

So cozy...I like the idea of a bed under the window. Maybe in my new home.
And, think of it, with that lovely afghan you now have a "flower bed" in the house!!
Peaceful days to you, Kim.

Hi Kim
I love how you've layered the bed. Those are my three favorite colors: red yellow and blue. The yellow looks very similar to the yellow we have in our house.
I am having a giveaway. Stop by if you have a chance.

Hi sweet Kim :)
I've missed you! I've been so busy with things at home I haven't been able to come see you as much as I want and a day without Daisy Cottage and you is like a day without sunshine.
I'm copying those wonderful recipes and making them soon! How sweet of Erin to bring those to you :)
I love your bedroom, this is your bedroom isn't it? I thought it was green before so maybe not.... hmmm... Oh and how could anyone throw out that sweet chair?! So perfect :)
I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. Please give Miss Maggie a hug for me.
love you,
rue

Such a sweet bedroom! Isn't it great finding other people's junk that they discard? It's "treasure from heaven!" The chair looks great in that room!

Lovely, lovely bedding! I love all the color. And the blue chair is such a nice find--very cute!

Enjoyed visiting your blog.
I love your little blue chair. I have 5 similar ones. My hubby says I am not allowed to buy anymore chairs for awhile! We are running out of room. I have 2 ugly gold colored ones that need to be painted. Actually I want to paint all of them, I was thinking of different shades. Not sure yet.

I was wondering the same thing, Kim. Do you crochet? My sister does, and I'm always amazed by her incredible handwork. I've got two left thumbs when it comes to needlework of any kind. Well, maybe not needlepoint. ;-)
Great alley find. I was spying today on my neighbor's trash... she has a wooden box out there that's begging to become something clever!
Happy Sunday,
Sheila

Oops! Kim, I didn't see this page of comments. When I said that thing about crochet, I was referring to the question the poster said at the bottom of the first page. Didn't want you to think I was loopy. ;-0

The red vintage purse is fabulous! It has your name all over it and was surely meant to be in your hands.
Sweet finds for the bedroom, too. Personally, I think the photos are wonderful....

LOVE the dresser! There is one painted white in one of my books and I drool over it every time I see it. Love, love, love those handles. (and I like yours better than the painted one)
