Most of you know that I am REALLY LUCKY to have an awesome sister! She's a multi-talented girl and amazes me every day with all that she can do - and one of her many talents is sewing! And for someone like me, who admittedly does NOT have the patience to sew, this is a wonderful thing - having a sister who does!
Sooooo, whenever I find extra cute napkins or vintage pillowcases or fabric, I simply pass them along to her and she kindly creates lots and lots of fun things for ME. See how that works? I know, I know... I'M SPOILED! ;-)
This is what Jill created with two, red vintage napkins, that I found at Goodwill - an adorable pillow...
And she created this pillow out of two Anthropologie napkins that I found at a yard sale for 25 cents each...
And she created this pillow from a vintage pillow case, also found at Goodwill...
Aren't they cute? Thank you sis! I LOVE THEM!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Speaking of spoiled, sweet Sherrie also spoiled me when she sent me this beautiful blue dish that she found in one of her local shops AND the most heavenly smelling soap that she handmade...
Thank you VERY much Sherrie! I truly love your generous gift!!
(((hugs)))
Kim
I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Hi Kim...ummmm, can I borrow your sister...please???! Those pillows are absolutely adorable...you're very lucky to have her to sew for you!!!
Love the pillows. Unfortunatly I am the sister that sews. My sis is Constantly asking me to make her something. I don't mind though. That's what sisters are for!
Oh, so cute! While I do not have a sister who sews, I do have my "stepwife". Actually she is my hubby's ex, my darling stepdaughter's mom and she is wonderful! I saw a wonderful door panel and showed her the picture. Guess what? She's making one just like it for me :0). I know people think it odd that an ex wife and current wife can get along so well, but thankfully we do.
If the person who sold the rose covered napkins could see that wonderful pillow -- well they'd be sorry now. More terrific inspiration on what to do with this great vintage fabric all around us. Recycle, reuse and re-love.Thanks.
Hi Kim,
I want a sister who makes me adorable pillows like that. I only have a brother and doubtful he's gonna sew....LOL. Please stop by, you haven't visited in a long time.
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
The pillows are fantastic and even better because they were made by your sweet, talented sister. Napkins do make wonderful pillows. I sewed alot years and years ago. All of your beautiful handmade things almost ( I say almost ) makes me want to get out that sewing machine that hasn't sewn a lick in 20 years. Of course I tell myself that it probably wouldn't even work now, so I'll just buy some someone else made. Well....you have a wonderful evening, and thanks for the sweet email.
