It is raining outside and there isn't any natural light for me to take a good picture of this corner in our tiny bedroom, but I wanted to show you the little blue table that I got at Rusty Crickett's the day we visited.
It is a sweet table - one that can go in lots of places here at Daisy Cottage. I might even put it upstairs when I turn that room into a guest room. But for now, I think it helps to create a cozy corner in here.
psst... visions of redoing this room are dancing in my head - should I go with yellow, blue, or my favorite red? ;-)
Anyway, this rain is making me want to snuggle under the quilts and take a nice, long nap..
I hope you have a wonderful and SAFE holiday weekend and get to catch a few extra zzzzz's too!
xo,
Kim
Good morning, Kim! Oops! It's afternoon already, isn't it? I woke up early today, then an hour later, took a nap! I love holiday weekends!
Your new table is adorable. I love it! Oh, do we get to see a room re-do? Yay! I say YES, make that upstairs room into a guest room. We'll just sit back and watch. :)

I love all your color choices for Daisy Cottage. Your home is tastefully decorated with many unique and warm treasures that reflect your welcoming spirit.
Vibrant colors are my favorite but I also tend to choose gentle pastel hues such as pretty Robin's Nest Blue with pale Baby Yellow... just a friendly suggestion from me. Whatever you select will be gorgeous.

Decisions, decisions... Whatever you do, it'll be great, Kim. Your home and blog always serve to inspire.

Kim, your blog is one of my favorites. I love all the red! You'll be pleased to know that I have begun painting the walls in my bedroom. The accent wall is somewhere between shrimp pink and canteloupe. The other walls are going to be cherry red [all from the same paint chip] in a parchment effect. I just finished spackling and am waiting impatiently until I can roll on the base coat. And with the leftover paint, I am going to paint a cheapie dresser. I bought seven different [but harmonious] new knobs for the drawers yesterday. Thank you for inspiring me to be exuberant with color! Have a great weekend.

It is rather grey and yucky today, isnt it? I say blue, but then again, it's my favorite color! We are getting ready to FINALLLY paint our bathroom and I'm going with blue!

I love that little table in the corner and I love those hands on it!
I vote for blue or blue and yellow in your bedroom...I think everyone would have guessed that's what I would choose! It seems like I've been seeing a lot more blue being brought into your sweet cottage lately and I would love to see how your blue room would look because you are so good at putting things together!
I love waking up in my blue and white bedroom! There's something about the morning sun coming in a blue room makes it so soothing!

Your blue table is a very nice addition to that cozy corner. I've got the urge to start on my bedroom soon. It's too girly and cluttered for my new circumstances. I'd love to go with yellow, but I'm thinking a blue-gray. I'll be interested to see what you go with.

You have inspired me to try to figure out how to build one JUST like it!

A cute find you have there, Kim! I'm sure you'll find the proper place for it. Again and again, redecorating as I likely do! Have a good weekend yourself. May it be a colorful one!

No extra sleep here. We're babysitting our grandson overnight who has more energy that anyone or anything I have ever seen. You'd think he'd be extra tired, but NOT!

Hhmmm! I'm kinda into that pale robin's egg blue color...well actually I'm into it alot and just gradually adding it here and there. So I don't know if that is "blue" but it might be fun! Have a wonderful holiday weekend. xo rachel

Such a cozy corner. I have a couple of these little tables. They just tuck in anywhere. They are also nice beside the chair. Sweet!

It does make a cozy little corner. We never get tired of rearranging and redoing do we? Maybe a nap first though. Diane

Hi Kim!!! Don't you just LOVE furniture that can be moved from place to place? Your darling table is sooooo sweet and I am sure that as the years go by it will move and change with you and will be a constant source of creative inspiration! What a sweet find you found! Hi Kim,
Love your cute little table and I vote for blue in the bedroom, but mix it up with all your touches of color like your beautiful quilts. It's to hard to stick to just one color, if your like me you have to many favorite things to decorate with. Whatever you do it will look beautiful!(;

Hi Kim,
I think both colors would turn out lovely :) I am partial to the red though! Enjoy your rainy snoozy weather. Sounds like a good day to snuggle in and play with some decorating ideas.

Okay, let's see. What color??? I vote for yellow. Then you can put cute quilts in various colors in there. Yellow can work as a nice neutral.
I have a small bedroom painted pale yellow, and I intend to move an antique jelly cupboard my grandfather made (very primitive and painted white)into it. Over the years, I have wallpapered the back of the cabinet as the mood strikes, and now I'm going to put my quilt collection on its shelves. I also love a collection piled on a bed or hung on the wall over a rod.
What direction does your room face? If it's a western exposure, it could be hot painted red. But red is a color I adore.
I love light so yellow always works for me. It's the golden glow of the sun. :-)

what a great table...I seriously love any table with knobby knees...have even been known to take apart a table that is too far gone just for the knobby knees. LOL!

I meant to say, "Robin's Egg Blue" haha... it didn't look right when I was tying it but I'm sure you knew what I meant :)

Dear Kim....for a bedroom, think of a lovely robin's egg blue, with accents of cheerful yellow...we have a raspberry bedroom in our old (88 yrs.) house, and I'm thinking of changing to a more restful color. Your writing is something I always look forward to reading at the end of every day. God bless....Patty
