No, this isn't a shop - it's the beach, of course - and my sister and I made sure to say hello to it yesterday on one of our "getaway days" that we like to treat ourselves to every once in a while...
While dipping our toes in the water and basking in our Florida sun, this little bird came along and told us about an ADORABLE shop that was nearby..
Well, of course, we HAD to check it out for ourselves and we are SO glad that we did....
With my camera fully charged, I took photos as I meandered about and hopefully you don't mind that I brought you along with me too!
Let's start with the porch, shall we?
Up the steps we go...
Time to go inside...
Oh yes - eye candy galore!
I loved the colors that greeted us everywhere!
It is time for us to leave this sweet shop behind, but we will go back one day!
My sister and I found another shop after our visit here and I'll share that next ... 'till then I hope you can find some time for a little getaway day too!
*edited* to add that YES, something blue came home with me and of course I'll share that with you when it finds its' perfect spot at Daisy Cottage and this charming shop is located in Bradenton, Florida!
xo,
Kim

Ohhhhh my.........That shop looks like my kind of place!!!! Would you mind if I ask it's location? I'm fairly new to this area and have no clue where to go other than Mt. Dora which I adore.
I have so enjoyed reading your blog and love your beautiful cottage.

Honestly Kim, you find the best shops. Maybe you need to put together a shopping guide for publication.

Thanks for the shopping trip, I needed that and I didn't spend a thing! Perfect. I'll be looking forward to the next shop!

Oh, I couldn't believe it when I read your blog today and saw pictures of this shop. Me and my family just vacationed in Bradenton a couple of weeks ago and I went into that very shop!! What a small world. I didn't buy anything, but enjoyed all the eye candy. I used to pass it alot when we were driving around town and I finally asked my husband to let me check it out before we went back home. Thanks for the memories. Ha!

Morning, Kim! Oh, what a perfect day. So that's the little bird who told you? lol The shop is darling. I'm in love with that big old green hutch and I spied the perfect little aqua looking framed mirror for your Daisy Cottage! Oh, please come to see me - I'm having a tea party and lots of pretties to show.

Kim, Thanks for the virtual shopping trip! Usually I can spend money without even leaving the house, but today I got to shop and not spend a cent! And relax on the beach with the AC running. Beautiful photos and I love your blog.

Cute shop Kim. We don't have many little shops like this in our neck of the woods. We have some cute ones, but they are scattered here and there.

Oh, Kim, I'm afraid you're going to have to owe me a new pair of glasses because I'm getting a little eyestrain from staring so intently at these mesmerizing photos! Not that I mind..So many things to savor in every shot.

Looking at all that eye candy always makes me want to redecorate...something. Move something from one place to another. Add something fun to something plain. You get the drift. "Putzing" - Kim style!

That store looks like a fun place to dig :). What beach do you go to? I have been wanting to take the kids but all the beaches I grew up going to are on the Atlantic coast, not the Gulf coast.

what a darling looking shop.
And..so close to where I grew up..Arcadia,FL..by the way..if you ever head further south..do check out Arcadia's once a month "Antique Days"event..I believe it is held the 4th Saturday of every month..a day when all the antique shops pull items out onto the sidewalk, and also there is an area under the town oak tree where folks set up their wares for the day..all antiques.
Have a lovely weekend.

I am totally in love with all the fabulous shops you take us to, Kimbo...we just don't have this kind of wonderfulness out here in West Texas.
Your great photos always make me smile...
I love the look of controlled clutter these shops offer...I tend to want MY cottage to be FULL...the more I can get, the better I like it.
Thanks for a fun post...

Hi Kim... I love this shop!! It reminds me of another adorable shop in Crystal River. Thanks for taking us along and sharing the beach too. I've never been to Bradenton but Clearwater was always my favorite beach because I lived in Tampa at the time.
I wonder what you brought home... maybe those cute li'l blue tables, the handy blue tool carrier or, antique blue mirror. Can't wait to see.

Thanks for a great shop tour! What fun! And I really love the beach pictures! I don't live near a beach, so a vacation at the beach is always such a treat! My computer background right now is a beach picture! Patti

What lovely photos of the beach. Although I'm not a beach person, I love the picture of the wave and the serenity of those shots.
The crickets are too cute, we are currently listening to the melody of the crickets in our courtyard. They've been here for about a month so far.
For me, they are very calming. (There aren't that many of course.) It's kind of like white noise for me.
Keep on blogging!

Go back and pick me up the wooden mermaid on the mantle, a few of the dried starfish and the black scrolly-birdcagy-thing.
Just kidding....looks like you had fun though! Take care!
