A very special someone will be visiting Daisy Cottage in a few days. I am sooooooo excited to see her again. My blog will have a little "intermission" as I have some major cleaning to do for a Daisy Cottage photo shoot! It's time to address the not-so-cute dust bunnies and doggy hair and I definitely need to freshen up our front porch with flowers that are actually alive! ;-)
I'll miss you and I wish that you could be here too, although I'd probably hand you a dust cloth and a broom - but you know that you WILL be here in spirit!
So, before I sign off, I thought I'd share these photos from a fabulous shop called Retro Rosie, also located in Bradenton, Florida. I cannot wait to visit this shop again one day - it is such a darling one - and we really enjoyed our visit. I hope that you do too.....
I'll be back soon.... wish me luck! ;-)
xo,
Kim
Have fun cleaning Kim! Can't wait to see the pictures. If I were there I would definitely help you tidy things up. Cleaning is fun (or at least keep telling yourself that)! :o)
That shop is darling!
God bless,

Good morning Kim :)
If I had to clean someone else's home I could only hope it would be Daisy Cottage and if I lived by you I would show up with bells on to help ;)
That shop is darling, as are all the shops around you it seems. I would have grabbed every one of those flower paintings :)
Good luck with the photo shoot!
Love,
rue

If I didn't have so much cleaning here at my own house, I would come down to help you tidy up.
That darling gray sweater with pearls and pick neck scarf caught my eye - LOVE IT!

Enjoy the cleaning, Kim! I'm imagining you enjoying the dusting, picking up each item with a smile, doing some rearranging (which I know you do!), humming along with some music.
Like several others, I loved the enameled pins; I remember those - lol!

Your photos of that shop are so great--I feel "almost" like I'm standing in it, too. I honestly think I saw my white daisy pin in that grouping of 60s pins--now I wonder where mine went? :-) Good luck with the exciting photo shoot! I always need a reason to clean house---day to day doesn't work for me.....I need the threat of a visitor!

Such a cute, cute shop! I saw my 1960s formal - the pink strapless one with cumberbund and ruffles down the skirt. I saw other items like my Mom's set of flower pins she owned. So many memories and cute things. Thanks for taking us on this stroll back to simpler times.

I'm so glad this is a virtual tour of this adorable shop. I'm afraid I would've spent way too much money there. I absolutely love the portrait of the lady. Fabulous!

Kim, What a fabulous shop! I'm sure some of us going to Silver Bella this year have BIG eyes as we look at the photo with the vintage prom dress...pink, no less! Darling! You'll have fun with Fifi, she's got a wonderful way of showing and seeing things! And I'm sure they won't care if there's a bunny here or there (dust bunny!). Enjoy the process!

Love it! Little shops that have items from the past are so great. They take you back. I'm too young to remember the 50's or 60's but going in that store, makes you feel like maybe you can imagine what it would be like to live then.
