Whether it be freshly laundered napkins in a lemony yellow.....
Or three floral paintings done by three aspiring artists .....
Or an orange candelabra, because of course, orange fits right in at Daisy Cottage .....
Or an old cookbook with a colorful cover ....
There is ALWAYS room for thrifted treasures and a little more color at Daisy Cottage!
;-)
Kim
I've been lurking around your blog recently. I absolutely love all the vintage goodness here! So, I thought it was time to leave a comment, introduce myself & say Hello.
I also collect vintage items & I love sharing them with everyone! I have started hosting a weekly blog carnival called Vintage Thingies Thursdays. I think you'll really enjoy it. Come on over. I'll fix you a glass of iced tea & you can put your feet up!

Thanks for sharing your lovely colors with us. I especially have a soft spot for all of the yellows. Yellow is just a feel good color.
You brightened my day. It is windy, cool and overcast there today.

I have always been a "yellow" person. I guess it reminds me of sunshine. And red. Red and yellow is me. My oldest daughter and I were talking on the phone one day about decorating. And I said I thought that now that she's 33 and a mother, I felt we'd sort of adopted the same decor themes somewhat. Her response was: "But don't you still hang the quilts you made and use a lot of yellow?" She said yellow like it was a dirty word. And I laughed. "Yes," I said. "But open your current Pottery Barn catalog and you'll see yellow is now in." (She adores Pottery Barn). Yellow was never "out" with me.

Your photos are so vivid and Beautiful!
Thats the first thing people say when they walk into my house - "its so colourful". I don't think I could live with neutrals exclusively, but I would like to do one room in earthy colours just for something different!

Hi Kim,
The yellow's great, but I have to say I have fallen in love with that little bit of coral color that is peeking out in the top photo... Not orange, not pink, I guess it is coral, but lighter? I love everything you choose for Daisy Cottage!
Couldn't let a Sunday go by without visiting (even though it's getting quite late in California!).

I was also tickled to see the article about Penny...I found her through your blog last fall and had her design a birdhouse for DH's valentine gift. We both love her work!!

Hello Kim! Thank you for such a cheerful display of photos...ALSO thank you for putting the Enya song onto the playlist..it is perfect for the group you've chosen and she is one of my favorite artists...do you know her "Oronoco Flow"?. I listen almost every morning to your blog music as I go about some quiet chores around the house...or just sit with a cup of coffee/tea. Wishing you peace at Daisy Cottage.
