Hi Sweetpeas!
I thought I'd share a chandelier and a few other thrifted goodies with you that have made their way to Daisy Cottage in the past few days.
I found this cute chandy at the local Habitat for Humanity thrift store....
Poor hubby doesn't know it yet, but it will be going in our kitchen to replace a yucky ceiling fan.
I bought a cozy throw from a thrift shop around the corner and it will join the others in our "granny room". I love the colors that were chosen by its' original creator....
And of course, this vintage suitcase had to come home with me too and it will be added to the growing collection in our "travel office"! Isn't thrift shopping soooooo much fun?
Oh, I love that chandy. It's wonderful! Please be sure to show it to us again when it's in place. And the afghan is so pretty. It will be just right in your room. Another suitcase. I've been looking for them lately and haven't found them. But I will! You've inspired me to add them to my guestroom when I redo it soon. ~Adrienne~

Looks like a beauty...I have been in a chandelier kind of mood lately (of course, the mood never leaves me). I just bought a translescent shaded chandelier for my dining area, and moved the original chandy to my bedroom. Ah, bliss when I look up...good luck with yours!!
Cheers,
Linda

I LOVE the chandy! I to think it was thrifted makes it even funner, doesn't it. It makes me want to run out right now and hit some of my thrifting spots! Have a great day.

Forgive my bad grammer in previous comment.
Meant to say...I think because it was thrifted...my head is obviously not screwed on straight today!

Hello, found your site by way of Kari & Kijsa. What a lovely chandy, as well as a charming home. I would love to feature you as one of my 'In the Trenches" budget designers if you might be interested? I think my readers would love a little tour of your lovely home.
Take care,
Shauntelle

Thrifting is so much more fun than retail shopping, and nit just because of the cost. I have a golden chandelier that I want to make look like yours.
No granny room for me, crocheted afghans get used everywhere. My most treasured one was made by my great aunt in her later years. It is about 50% wider at one end than the other, lol.

You are an artist! I can't imagine any thrift shop finds I might discover to look as cute as yours.

I always love reading about your vintage finds! I especially like that chandy! Just think of how many of us you have inspired to find beauty in otherwise wasted items! Your not just recycling, your up-cycling! Very inspiring!

Wonderful find! Can't wait to see a picture when it is up. Most of the lighting fixtures in my home have been found when I have rummaged through a pile of junk. Such fun! Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Great finds! Just the norm at Daisy Cottage lol I was thrifting/antiquing recently and all I found was one vintage ornament - I couldn't have been happier with my little purchase! Blessings, Marann

I want to replace ceiling fans w/ chandeliers, but it is soooo HOT here the practicality factor stops me in my tracks. Oh, the tragedy of it all!

I think the thrifting gods look kindly upon you miss Daisy Cottage! When I go to my local stores I usually find the regular assortment of ugly 80's clothing and used plastic wear dishes!
LOL, I need to shop at YOUR thrifts!

That will look fabulous in your kitchen! Cute throw for your granny chic space, too.
You DO have the best places to find things.
But then it is really just your great talent for finding the hidden gem. :)

Something must be in the air at the ReStore, because I found a chandy today, too at my local one! I was planning to post a pic of it with my next thrifting post (tomorrow)! I'll include a link to yours, too, when I do. Don't you just love that place? Thrifting and supporting a great cause all at the same time! Love it.
