I miss you! :-)
It is still 2007, but I thought I'd pop in here to say hi and share a few things with you...
He is definitely NOT a "thing", but this is my hubby and no, he wasn't Santa - although he certainly WAS Santa to me this Christmas! He definitely spoiled me! His favorite thing to do when he isn't spending time with his family or caring for Daisy Cottage is to go fishing...
The man who works SO hard to make all of my dreams come true...
"Mr. Daisy Cottage" - Kevin

On Thursday, my friend Gina whisked me away to beautiful Anna Maria Island for some ocean eye candy -
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch of fish and chips -
Do you see our Florida "snow"? ;-)
It was so nice to chat and linger over our lunch while breathing in the ocean air BUT we had some shopping to do, so off we went to this wonderful shop!
I bought THE CUTEST little "granny" stool for the granny room and this painted sign for our fence -
As you can imagine, we had sooooo much fun! Thank you for taking a peek too!
xo,
Kim
You take such great pictures, Kim, and must always have your camera with you.
You made me homesick for Florida "snow". I spent a lovely New Year's Day on the white sand beaches a few years ago, actually dipping my toe in the Gulf and thinking of all the poor souls in Iowa suffering from the cold weather.
Wishing you peace and joy in 2008!

A day well spent! I would love to spend some time in that shop. Here in Nebraska we have the real stuff on the ground. Brrrr! I looked at the link and they say they'll ship anything anywhere but they only have the one picture on the links to look at. Too bad they don't have lots more pictures so you can see what they have to offer.

ahhhhh a far cry from the snow of the northern midwest! Lovely to see, I will say I love the sun we have today even with said snow:) ahhh is that man of yours a fly fisherman? I've got a thing for those! xo daisy dear!

Peek-a-boo, missed you, too!! Thanks for treating us with a glimpse of Mr. Daisy Cottage/Santa Claus..what a wonderful smile he has (happy fisherman)! ANd thanks to Gina for treating you to such a lovely Wednesday escape...the eye candy at that shop is wonderful. Did you resist a purchase??! Oh, and we, too, have electric icicles along the eaves of our house :-)
May 2008 be filled with love, happiness, peace and health for you and your loved ones. I so look forward to reading your adventures at Dear Daisy!

I've missed you, Kim, and wondered what you've been up to. Should have known you were doing fun stuff. That shop looks like it has some great things! Hmmmm...I think we need to get your fishin' lovin' hubby with my fishin' lovin' hubby. My hubby has a huuuuge boat that he likes to take out offshore in the Gulf to fish for grouper, hog fish, mackeral etc. and he's always looking for somebody to fish with. And while they fish, you could teach me the finer points of thrifting!!!! LOL.

I've just discovered your blog and just love it. I'm seriously addicted. Love your beach picture since it's about 35 here in the midwest. I lived by a beach in different states for 20 years and sure do miss it's beauty. The pictures of the shop you visted are wonderful. I'm still looking for something like that here in St. Louis. Thanks for sharing with us.

Hi Kim We go to Longboat Key the week before Christmas every year. We drove down to Anna Maria Island for dinner one night at The Waterfront restaurant, but I didn't know about that wonderful shop. Next year I'll go there for sure. Did you get the fish & chips from Rotten Ralph's? We drove through part of St Petersburg on the way to a quilt shop I like and as we were driving through a lovely old neighborhood I thought wouldn't it be a coincidence if this is where Kim lives? I think it was called historic Kenwood or Kingswood. Anyhow enough of my ramblings! Hope you had a lovely Christmas and a blessed new year. Rhondi :)

Mr Daisy Cottage is a handsome fellow!! It looks like you had a lovely day with your friend. I haven't been to Naples in about 5 months now and I am starting to miss the beach! Maybe that's why I just finshed a beach cottage chic mosaic buffet :-). The shop looks like alot of fun.

There is something about eating fish and chips right on the ocean that makes them taste so much better. Our favorite spot is in Bandon, Oregon. You have to eat outside and even if it's freezing, they are great. Love the shop. I would have definitely done some major charge card damage.
A husband who paints - priceless.

We don't have shops like that here. I would be in heaven if I stumbled on one though! I don't know how you can walk away with so few things. Oh how I'd love to be on the ocean right now enjoying the breeze and putting my feet in the sand. I guess in FL right now you all are cold and wearing sweaters - that always cracked me up.
Happy New Year!

Kim, You and I were both spending Thursday visiting Anna Maria Island. Can you believe that????? My daughter took me there and we had lunch at the pier....(can't remember the name of it) and we shopped at Ginny's and Jane E's too. When I have a chance I will post pictures on my blog. We were probably eating at the same time and shopping at the same time !!!!! I just arrived back home last night after 10 wonderful days in beautiful Sarasota.

Dear Kim,
Your DH is as cute as the rest of the family - no wonder you two produced such beautiful children. Must have the name of that shop - that is eye candy - a little slice of heaven. The fish/chips look yummy and the "snow" that truly warms my heart.
DH and I are just trying to decide where we are going this coming year. My first request was to see Kim. LOL I must visit those Goodwills around you. With my luck, all the goodies will be gone. Darn, I wanted some Santa boots. LOL
The pictures of AnnMarie Island are awesome. I am afraid the farest I have gone was Longboat Key back in the 80's.
Love your sign and your pictures always makes me feel like I am right there. You take such wonderful photos.
Enjoy your family during the holidays. May God grant you many Blessing in the New Year.
Hugs,
