I found a bag of old ornaments at Goodwill and I have had fun scattering them everywhere..
I've also wrapped a few presents and set my old doll out under the tree....
And my heart is singing today because my baby is on her way home from college for Christmas!
Wishing for you the gift of a wonderful weekend! xo, Kim
I love the ornaments! I've been buying them for the past year (the old ones) - the aqua are definitely my favorite - so pretty!
Your doll fits just right, doesn't she?
So glad your girl is headed home. Mine just had her last exam today also.
Have a happy holiday!

Kim, I love the old ornaments...they remind me of childhood and simpler times. We put toys under our tree, too....they also keep the tree from looking lonely when they presents are opened. Everything looks very pretty at Daisy Cottage.

Love all the ornaments but are really drooling over the aqua ones - I wish I could find some (and some pink ones too!) reasonably priced by me - there's not much good thrifting by me. And your dollie is so sweet. So nice to have something treasured so much from your childhood.
Have fun with your daughter!!!

Those azure ornies are just too yummy! You're making me pine for my Mom's ornaments, which didn't get unpacked this year. They're the kind with the starbursts in the center. Lucky you to have two dolls beneath your tree this week- your dear daughter and the doll in the photo! I really enjoy your blog-such an enjoyable display of beautiful vignettes and sheer love of home, & always a pleasure! Thanks for stopping by to see me too. Have a wonderful holiday!

I just found your website which feels like an early Christmas gift! What a beautiful and welcoming home you have created. This makes me miss our 1920 farm house with its wrap-around porch that we sold nearly a year ago. I dream of the day when I can have a home like that again but for now I can enjoy bits of yours! Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful holiday season with your family.
