Twenty-four years ago, on December 9th, 1983, I became a Mommy..
And that was THE best Christmas gift that I have EVER received.
Happy Birthday Shawn! I love you!
***********************************************************************************************
Last year I experimented with having two Christmas trees. I learned about myself that I am a "one tree kind of girl", so this year it is back to having just one at Daisy Cottage.
Our tree stands in the living room, proudly displaying old and new ornaments, our children's handmade ones (my favorites), little teacups, and even a sunflower or two just for fun! I'm sure that it could use a few more bows and some tweaking here and there, BUT....
It smells heavenly and the tree is bright and cheery so that makes me happy!
I hope you have a beautiful Sunday and I wish for YOU, a happy tree trimming too!
Happy Birthday Shawn! Kim, I love that picture...you look so beautiful looking at your baby :-).
Love the tree - perfect for Daisy Cottage.
Hugs,
Penny

Ahhhh, it felt so good to get back to Daisy Cottage after being away for several days. I'm all caught up and all is right with the world. I love your tree; I love the bright splashes of yellow sunflowers! Very clever! And, if I don't make it to GoodWill this week... The treasures you find!

Our little grandson, Samuel will turn six years old on Christmas Eve. That was a wonderful present for the whole family. We didn't have a regular Christmas for a week, but we took big brother Redmond, then two, to the hospital on Christmas to see his new baby brother. Such joy!

A special memory caught on film to treasure forever. Happy Birthday Shawn - what a lucky man you are to have such a beautiful mother (of course, you know that already).
Kim, your tree is lovely and I love the bright daisy that you added. It just sparkles in its surroundings.
Enjoy the holiday season - they seem to go so fast.

Kim, I'm a one tree kind of person myself. I put up our "large" 13' tree and the girls asked if I'm putting up the other trees in the house and the Christmas village. I told them "NO," but you can if you'd like to. . . I'm getting too old and tired. Of course, everyone wants it all up, but no one wants to do it. . . so, it's one tree for our family this year too.
My oldest daughter wasn't my Christmas gift, but my birthday gift. She was born the day BEFORE my birthday, 20 years ago. Still is the best present I have ever received!!
Blessings,
Sher
