I wanted to share this pretty Christmas swag with you. I found two of these at Goodwill yesterday. They were only $2 each!
I also couldn't resist this sweet, vintage Santa dish for 75 cents....
And 75 cents was all that I paid for this pink, glass tree....
Goodwill had several bins filled with boxes of lovely Christmas ornaments. There were also quite a few shelves stacked with Christmas dishes and cute decorations. If you are needing a little "something-something" to add to your holiday decor, visit your local Goodwill and you might find a Christmas goodie there! Happy hunting! :-)
*edited* to add a picture of where I hung one of the Goodwill Christmas swags..
Proudly, on Daisy Cottage's front door! ;-)
Love the Santa dish! I have the one my Mother bought so many years ago. He's scuffed a little here and there, but loved just the same. Every time I unwrapped him to decorate, my thoughts go back to childhood and all those sweet, simple things.
Thanks for the reminder. ;)

We don't have a Goodwill, but we have several thrift stores that support local charities and also Salvation Army. I've been thinking of making the rounds to look for Christmas plates to go with my collection. Loved the swag and Santa plate. Great finds.

The thrill of the hunt can't be matched...except when the finds are so wonderful! I will post pics later today of my thrifting finds...2 bags of vintage ornaments and candle holders spelling out N-O-E-L and a couple of other small things...all for $4!! *sigh* Lucky me...

You have the best Goodwill and you bring home such treasures!!

I've been stalking our Goodwill with little success lately, but yesterday I got a winter jacket (which I have been needing) brand new with the tags still on for $3.79. I go past the Goodwill any day I go out anywhere in the car so I'll probably check it out again today. Your "finds" are great. If you go to my blog you can see the cute felt trees I found at The Dollar Tree, $1 each.

Hi Kim,
What terrific finds! I am such a Goodwill junky (aka "Uncle Will's" in my house), I think they know me by name in my local store because I visit at least once a week!

Goodwill stores are the best. We have several in Mich.
I love the look and the music on your blog.

Kim, you find the most wonderful bargains. I often wonder if it is the items themselves that are so delightful, or the way you take these inexpensive discards and imbue them with charm in your wonderful cottage setting. Maybe a little of both?

What a great idea to look for Christmas dishes at Goodwill or Salvation Army. Will be visiting the stores soon!

I have *got* to get over to the Goodwill! I've just been afraid after I lost control at Ross and went way over budget. But I really want to find some vintage ornaments. Your finds have inspired me!

Ummm...probably not at our Goodwill.
What you found looks so pretty, but then what you did with them makes them so. You definitely have The Knack.

Your Goodwill finds always inspire me to head to our local store. But, the items in my area are always priced so much higher. Those same items would have had a $3 to $5 tag on them. I've often picked an item up that I liked and then had to put it back because it is priced too high for my budget. I love your site and visit it daily.

Lucky you. The Goodwill here is a joke. More clothes and not much "junk."
Love the swag and the Santa plate. Too cute.

I love your finds and besides... we should support these people that need jobs.
My brother-in-law is substitute teaching and making very little money. Last Christmas he bought all of the family's gifts at Goodwill. He found some of the most interesting books and goodies. He said that it just took many visits. I applaud him!!

Do you know my Goodwill has Halloween stuff out!! I've been there every day this week looking for a Christmas tablecloth or some ornaments and nothing but Halloween. It's a sick joke I think!
You on the other hand have found some fun finds! Love the santa dish.

Kim, what lovely finds! You always do so well at GW...ours doesn't seem to have the offerings that yours does.
Your home is looking beautiful!

Just look at the eyelashes on the Santa! :)
I think I have a matching vintage mug
that would just go with that dish...
Actually we have two vintage Santa mugs--
one cheerful and one is grumpy looking.
I put them out side by side--what a pair
they make!
Thanks for keeping us posted--I believe it's
helping to keep all of us motivated and
inspired!

Hi Kim,
Love your treasues! The pink tree is too cute! Love Santa and the greenery too! Isn't funny how sometimes when you see these treasures in the shop you can hem and haw and think, "I don't know if it will look good or like junk", then you bring it home, wash it up and, "wow wee", they look gorgeous! I know where I am going tomorrow!!Hugs~Rosemary

I think the man upstairs must place things for you to find at Goodwill. You have the best luck there. The only thing I have bought in Goodwill are some paperback books. I never find the "pretties" that you mange to find. Like someone said, maybe its the way you display them or photograph them - either way they always seem at home and find the perfect spot in your lovely home.

I see all these great things you and other people in blogland buy at Goodwill but I have never seen anything at our Goodwill at all remotely like what I see here on the blogs. I love what some would call old, vintage or some call it junk. To me things that have history and bring about a sense of nostalgia mean so much. I love the Santa dish. So darling.

I love catching up on you and your blog - it makes me wish for a quieter simpler day -own business and two small kids - very crazy. I have to say that cute little dish you have with santa's face - my sister and I have the matching mugs - they are adorable and from my grandmother. I am putting my decorations up tomorrow - can't wait to use some of your great ideas! Havea wonderful holiday if I don't comment again.
