The day after hosting Thanksgiving is kind of like a nice loooooong sigh, isn't it? You are not only feeling "stuffed" from all of the holiday food, but hopefully feeling full of some good old-fashioned family time too. Everything turned out beautifully, and I had lots and lots of help from everyone! I hardly took any pictures because I was all wrapped up in turkey and mashed potato creating, but I did manage to snap these..
One of my two VERY impatient and hungry children.... ;-)
(Shannon decided to be a brunette this fall by coloring her gorgeous, natural blonde hair, which in turn has created MORE gray hairs on her MOTHER'S head)
One of my really sweet and pretty niece, Jamie....
One of my BEAUTIFUL Mommy and Shawn...
And, of course, one of Miss Maggie, all freshly bathed for the special day!
I hope YOUR Thanksgiving was wonderful too!
xo,
Kim
Dear Kim,
I am slowly transferring all my favorite blogs to Bloglines. So nice to see a new column from you when I checked in this morning.
I took it easy yesterday and am going to do the same today. A little baking, a lot of knitting, and maybe some mending and embroidery, while listening to The Eagles' new CD

Sigh.. I love to come to Daisy Cottage. It fills me with warmth and peace.
Happy Belated Thanksgiving, and what gorgeous pictures! Your family (including Maggie) is truly blessed, every single one of them are beautiful! I can only imagine what a lovely Thanksgiving you had all together. I bet your table was perfection, and filled with yummies.
In AZ, we did it western style, some jalapenos involved, waaayy too much food and then a horseback ride through the desert. With lots of love and family

Great pictures! My Thanksgiving was very nice, too! Today I've been cleaning my fridge (between blogging, sewing, crocheting and knitting--all WAY more fun) to make room for Christmas-y foods. And I'm going to start taking down Thanksgiving/Fall this week. Hard to believe, it's almost December!

Kim,
Your daughter looks pretty with brown hair.
Be thankful she didn't go for black, blue, pink, or orange.
We went out to dinner and then went to a performance of Cirque du Soleil. It was fabulous!

Cute kids Kim,and your Mom is sooo pretty too!
Shannon looks good in dark hair! When I was young I used to experiment with color...no harm done,it grows,tee-hee.Remind me to tell you what an awe inspiring week this has been!

It was so nice to see all of your family photos!! It felt like we were invited over too! I'm glad you had fun and I had to read your comments again because I didn't recognize Shannon at all!!! I thought maybe she was Shawn's girlfriend!! As someone else said, it's just haircolor... though I spend a lot of money highlighting my hair to look like Shannon's natural color!!! Oh well. Hope your weekend is just as fun!

Hi Kim!
Loved the new family pictures. It was so sweet seeing your mom! Those kids are too cute. There's a picture from last year of my DD with the same exact face as Shannon's! I'm sure they were thinking about the same thing, too. That son of yours is just too perfect. How sweet he is with his grandma.
I'm so happy to hear what a great day you had.

I'm so happy your day was wonderful. Great photos! You need to hand the camera to someone sometime and get some of yourself!
Maybe one with you and sweet Maggie with your feet propped up! LOL
Today, I'm decorating for Christmas. It's an exciting time but one I dread too. It's the mess it makes until everything is up and ready to enjoy.

Kim: Yes I know the feeling of that looong sigh after turkey day. I had so many leftovers that I invited two friends over for dinner on Friday. It was so low key compared to the hoopla on Thursday. Your photos are lovely and will provide memories for years to come.

My pretty blond niece did the same thing. She is pictured on my blog with my brother. Why do blonds want to be brunettes and brunettes want to be blonds? Really though, I can't remember what color my hair was anymore. LOL Hope this has been a wonderful start to your holiday season!

Kim, What nice photos of everyone, your mom is so lovely.
My teenage daughter's also a natural blond and has had nearly every hair color imaginable - now it's brunette with purple streaks in front. If this is the worst they can do - keep experimenting with hair color, it's very creative and lovely to hear "what do you think of this color, would it look good on me?". Personally, the natural blond with magenta streaks was my favorite. But of course, I'd love just plain blond like it was many colors ago.
Oh and Maggie, as usual the belle of the ball and ready for anything!
Happy holidays,
Tracie
