The poor white slipcovers on our living room chairs were VERY worn and had seen their better days so it was time for some new ones. They had served their purpose well, lasting through several families and numerous doggies. While shopping for more off-white creamy fabric, I found this fabric on sale at Hancock's. I thought it would be a fun change for the living room, especially for the fall and winter... a little whimsical addition to the space. As you know, I am VERY lucky to have a sweet sis who makes my slipcovers (and everything else that needs to be sewn) and she kindly squeezed in some sewing time for me into her really busy schedule. Thank you Jill! ((hugs)) I love them and you!

When Angie, of Vintage, Inc., told me that a perfect red table for Daisy Cottage was arriving in her shop, she was RIGHT! I treated our home to this red cutie, and I couldn't love it any more if I tried!
Just wanted to share these new things that are happening in the living room with you. I want to find some white pillows for the chairs, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying the fresh changes! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday! xo, Kim
I love the slipcovers! Your house is just beautiful. I have enjoyed your blog so much.

Ooooo very pretty, Kim! Love it! You're SO lucky to have a sister who can make your slipcovers. In August, I paid Calico Corners an OBSCENE amount of money (almost $3,000!!) to make slipcovers for my living room sofa, loveseat and one wingback chair like yours. Want to re-do the family room furniture sometime soon but I think I need to find somebody more reasonable.

Kim, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your new slipcovers and the red table. They would be perfect for my small condo in NC, the only trouble is the condo is too small for everything I love. I had done mostly the black and white checks there along with the red, but I am adding the black paisley and polka dots now too. REALLY LOVE IT! Vicky G.

I live in a non descript house in a non descript neighborhood in South Alabama. Your cottage with the beautiful porch makes me remember going to my grandmothers in North Louisiana with the porch all around and the rough wood dining room table painted a sky blue. Porch sitting with MaMa Thomas and my great grandmother "Granny"
