After playing in here all weekend, my office is all nice and clean and I'm hoping that I can keep it this way for a few days at least! ;-) I need to finish the labels for these cute black & white folders and go through a few more drawers, but all in all, everything is in its' proper place and hopefully I can find the stamps and tape dispenser when I need to!
Some of you wanted to see more pictures of my office so I thought I'd share these today. I love having this space in our home - it is where I work on the family budget, pay the bills, write, spend dreamy quality time with my decorating books and of course, "chat" with you. I keep my gift wrapping supplies and other papery things in the brown dresser behind my red chair. The creamy buffet holds files, notebooks, and lots of miscellaneous things. I just picked up the shaggy green rug from Lowe's - it is actually two rugs that I put side by side as one wouldn't have been wide enough. It is kind of silly looking - yet fun, don't you think? I hope you are having a wonderful Monday.. I'm going to make some more coffee and pay a few bills now! xo, Kim
I am so jealous! I am just setting up my new office after my big move and I have no furniture or anything to work with. I really want to find a cute desk like what you have (where did you get it?). I also must say I am tres jealous of your big stack of gorgeous books! Yum! You're an inspiration! ~A :-)

All clean, indeed! Your distinctive touches make the room just beautiful and inviting: the bright yellow ceramic teapot with the red pencils and the stack of red books next to it, the yellow cup and saucer with little paper goodies, your perfectly stacked books, the black and white checked plate to match the b/w chair - it's all utterly charming!

I love your office. The white cabinet is beautiful. Does it have a story?
I love the touches of green, red, yellow and black that you use throughout your cottage.
I tend to put black into my rooms. It seems
to ground a room.

Thank you EVERYONE!
Annie, I DID see your lovely comment((hugs))
The cute folders came from Tuesday Morning.. the wall color is "Richly Red" by Waverly and can be found at Lowe's.. my hubby has his own office (in our basement/Man Cave) and I am spoiled rotten to have this space as all MINE! LOL It is off of the living room too.. command central! The desk is meant to be a sofa table, I believe, but I use it this way. It came from a consignment shop for a song and a dance and the creamy buffet was an old bedroom dresser that my sister had and she painted it, then passed it on to me, and I painted the top black and added the knobs. Thanks for asking - and thanks for LOOKING! xo, me

Yes, I was one of your net-friends who asked for most pics so thank you so much for this glimpse into the office heart of Daisy Cottage! I see the laptop sitting invitingly on your white desk..and NO WIRES!! You must have a router hidden away somewhere that connects everything through the airwaves. THat's one of my dreams...my office space has so many wires, it's kind of scary. And I share my laptop with my daughter because my own desktop has arthritis and dementia :) I'm looking forward later to enjoying a very close look at your photos, 'cause I've got to get going right now..

My office space is decorated a little differently...I have a Star Wars room. Really. I posted pictures on my blog a month or so ago because I thought it was pretty cool. Now I see how wrong I was! I love my Star Wars, don't get me wrong. But it'd be so nice to have a RESTFUL place to pay my bills and blog, etc. And Star Wars is a lot of things, but restful? Not so much. Beautiful space you have here. Thanks for sharing.

Well it's all been said, it IS a beautiful space Kim. If I could get DH's stuff out of my studio/office/sewing/computer room I could perhaps come somewhere close!!
Yes, Tuesday Morning sometimes has great paper items such as those file folders - I love to rummage through that section of the store - but it's usually a real mess so one has to be patient and enjoy the hunt.
See you are showing two time zones on your clocks - Florida and ?????
Enjoy each day with sweet Maggie in your lovely room.
Hugs, Mary.
