Right about now, I hope you are all in the midst of some wonderful Mother's Day sweetness. I won't be able to post over the next few days or so, as we will be really busy with our daughter's college orientation and end-of-the-year things, like a piano recital, special little celebrations, and oh yes, Shannon's graduation from high school. We'll even squeeze in her 18th birthday! So I will leave you with a few pictures from our time spent this morning at Mayfaire, which is held a couple of blocks away.....
We felt a bit lazy as we watched this race go by our house last night, but we energetically rooted them on! It was a really neat sight to see! I love how something is always going on in our neighborhood.
The artisans set up camp around the lake...
I fell in love with this vintage bike, of course! It belonged to a lucky somebody - but I think it belongs on my porch, don't you? ;-) Hmm, maybe I should go back and try to find the owner and see if he'll sell it to me!
A very small sampling of the art that was on display -
My daugher really liked this jewelry - I did too!
There was plenty to choose from to quench our thirst, thank goodness...
And just a few people in the crowd....
I loved seeing this lady cruisin' in style! Good for her for looking so pretty and being out and about, enjoying her day!
So I'll be back as soon as I can! I'll miss you bunches! Bye for now! xo, Kim
Blessings on all of your big events. The fair looks like fun! I love the necklaces.

Hi Kim
I hope that you enjoy all the celebrations. I agree, that bike would look great on your porch...the fair looks like a great day out and I can almost taste that lemonade.

Good luck with everything! We had prom last night, graduation is the 2nd and mine leaves for her summer camp counselor job the next day. Her 18th is a week after she leaves, so we'll be squeezing that in as well!
Thanks for the pics - I recognize those scenes. :)

Yea, the bike is lovely. I have been seriously thinking about getting one to zip to and from work. It is nice to see that "retro" bikes are back in style, but you sure can't beat the originals! Good luck with all your activities! Let me know if you need something to fly from Idaho to house sit Daisy Cottage - hee, hee. Love, Esther!

Love the pictures, Kim! Sounds like you're a busy lady these days. My daughter's pre-school graduation is Tuesday, and I'm having a pang. I can only imagine the pangs you must be having. Best to her in her college endeavors.
I really love the photo of the elderly woman on the scooter...we should all be so lucky in our old age!

Oh wow that looks like so much fun! We had a similar fair this weekend, we do every mother's day weekend, but for some reason there were hardly any vendors this year. Oh well, I'll hit the next one.
Happy Mother's Day!
God bless :)

What a neat festival...that looked like fun, and the art was wonderful! I want to be just like that lady on the scooter.
I hope that you are able to really enjoy this time in your daughter's life. I know, as a mom, the mixed feelings you probably have right now, as she comes into her own. I wish her (and you) a blessed start to this part of her life.
Love, Andrea

To your daughter~congratulations on the graduation. I hope all of you enjoy each of the year-end festivities. I remember those days so well.
Yes, that bike would have been a perfect addition to the wheelbarrow I think, which I love BTW.
If I ever need one of those scooters, I want a yellow one just like that sweet stylish looking lady has!
