This is my baby, Shannon, who of course is no longer really my baby.
She will be graduating from high school soon and heading off to college. Her senior prom was last night. Oh how I am going to miss the house being filled with girls, hurrying and scurrying, preparing for these big events. This year, Shannon's friend's mom hosted the dinner for her prom group. The table setting was just beautiful.
The dessert was perfect too -
And you will see that Shannon has inherited her mother's love of red -
Shannon and her date, Austin, were adorable, as all the couples were, dressed in their prom finery and wearing their beautiful smiles. As they pulled off in the limo that was to take them safely to their destination, I couldn't help but well up with tears. These are the moments .... and I've cherished every single one. I love you Shannon.
Beautiful daughter, beautiful evening...wonderful memories!
Love Shannon's red shoes!!

She's a beauty and I love her red shoes! I've cried at every major event of my daughter's from the first day in a Mommy's Morning Out Program, kindergarten, 1st ballet recital, everything! I'm sure I'll also be shedding a few tears when she goes off to her Prom (at least that won't happen for another 3 years). What a sweet post.

Seems like just yesterday that we were doing the same thing in my house. I passes too quickly. Nothing made me happier than on her wedding day when all her high school friends and some new ones from college were at our house getting ready to be her bridesmaids. All the hustle and bustle felt good again. Enjoy these moments but know that there'll be new ones to come along.

It's so fitting that Kim did a post about Shannon's senior prom and how she felt that evening. I have long said Kim is the absolute best mom on this planet. Her instinct, sacrifice and intuition are unmatched. Her parental love and guidance are every child's dream come true. Kim is the perfect mom and Shannon has a wonderful head start through life because of her.
