'Tis the season for strawberries here in central Florida! And oh are they DELICIOUS this year! Soooooo good on top of angel food cake and covered with real whipped cream OR simply just the way they are! Please help yourself to one of these if you'd like ~ they are such a sweet treat that YOU deserve!
YUM YUM YUM - My favorite fruit, don't mind me while I help myself. I bit of summer to enjoy looking at while it snows outside my window. Thanks for sharing

Oh, how I love fresh strawberries. They won't be ready in B.C. for another two or three months though. I would love to help myself to one of yours! lol!

Truly delicious photo! Just imagine those beauties swimming in whipped cream or drizzled with dark chocolate -- or both! LOL! I love them piled over angel food cake or cheesecake ...... or over hot waffles ......
BTW --- Target's own brand -- Archer Farms -- has a GREAT fast Strawberry Cake mix -- might be tasty with the fresh strawberries (especially if those berries have been in Grand Marnier .... for at least 30 minutes)

That little blue book is so sweet. That little dash of blue looks good in your home.
Aw, it's strawberry time! Must be close to the Zellwood Festival. No bad freezes this year, so they should have lots of them of us.
Lovely photo dear Kim.

Hello Kim
Those strawberries are looking good! Especially pretty on the blue and white plate.
Strawberries without embellishment, are delish...but extra good dipped in chocolate!

Thank you Kim! Delicious, especially with a dollop of cream and a sprinkling of castor sugar! Alas, we have a few months to wait for our strawberry season! Clare x

Thanks for the treat! We are still getting berries from California and even though they cost about $5.88 for a one pound box, I buy them and enjoy! I used to serve them with a dish of brown sugar and a dish of sour cream. First put the berry into the sour cream and then into the brown sugar - Enjoy!

Delish! They are ripe here in SoCal too! I've been eating them everyday sliced up with a banana and a little whip cream. My daily treat for early Spring!

Oh Kim that is such a beautiful photo. The red of the strawberries on that gorgeous blue and white plate is exquisite. Thank you, I will definitely have a taste. When I was a child my aunt and uncle lived in Plant City, FL where they have a huge strawberry festival each year. I spent many happy childhood days picking in sunny fields in that area, and then eating the yummy creations my mother whipped up with them. xoxox

Hey Miss Kim, I love those strawberries too! Isn't it wnderful to ride down our local roads and see them growing in the fields. We are so lucky to live where we do. I can't wait for U-pick! We take our grandsons and they have a ball! One of the things I admire about you is the ability to appreciate the sweet simple things in life. Have a glorious day. HTH Janet

Last weekend when my sister and I were driving down the central California coast, we saw fields of strawberries being cultivated in Watsonville, where most of our strawberries are grown. We have found some delicious early ones in the stores, but it will be another month or so before they are really in season. Fresh food in season---it just doesn't get any better does it?

Lovely picture dear Kim. One of the things we loved best about living in Tampa...Strawberry time! We used to go over to Plant City fpr the festival. I am draing a blank about the name of the place we always used to stop at there. Oh so good and fresh.
We love strawberries...yes, they are expensice here no but we always get a pint or 2 anyway. Grace loves them for breakfast.
Thank you for such a sweet post...
Love,
Sue

Oh, yummmy, Kim! I've been buying strawberries (from FL of course!) for the last few weeks, as Publix always has some good ones coming in & the prices start to drop. My mom grew up near Plant City & picked strawberries when she was a girl, so she has really fond memories of the strawberries there. I went to the Strawberry Festival several years ago & it was a delight. My relatives go every year! My mom has a hard time paying the store prices, since they sometimes go down there at the end of the season & buy them for practically nothing in the U-pick fields..LOL. I told her I will pay the price gladly for good, fresh strawberries. I love your pic with the blue/white plate...looks like a magazine shot.

Hi Kim..... I visited my daughter in Riverview, Fl last week and timed it according to the Plant City Strawberry Festival.... Wow Oh Wow !!! I'm for sure going to make that an annual trip !! No strawberries are better than those just picked.... If you've never gotten the chance to go to the Plant City Festival.. I'd really encourage you to get there next year...
