Daisy Cottage's front door is original to the house and we love the natural light that it lets in and the view it offers of our street. I've wanted to add something for privacy at night since we moved in, but didn't want to go with a pull-down shade and decided against installing blinds on the door. Soooooooooo, when I came across this wonderful yellow and white checked fabric at Hancock's, you know who I called... my sister, who kindly offered to make door panels for me! I will try to take a better picture of them later, but I quickly took these this morning to share with you. I love how they came out and note the cute red ric-rac that dear sis added near the bottom!
Oh, and please stop by tomorrow to help me celebrate my 100th post!!
Very nice door panels! Looks like you live in a great neighbourhood!!!

Yes, I'm loving your front door panels! I love your original door~ the solid glass front. Now, all you have to do for privacy is just let them down from those darling cottagey holdbacks. Perfect for Daisy Cottage!

That's a perfect fabric for Daisy Cottage, Kim! Love that red rick-rack too...grew up with that stuff..my mom was an avid sewer.

You sure have a way of doing everything to perfection. As I have commented before, I love your blog. No need to reply because I will probably post a "bunch". I visit every day and I re-read everything. Thanks Kim!

Perfection!! Just the right material -- gingham is one of my favorite patterns and the rick-rack is the perfect trim! Your sister is a dear to do up the curtain panels -- and so very creative -- we can all tell that those wonderful qualities run in your family!

What better fabric for a Daisy Cottage door, than yellow gingham and just for Kim, that touch of red rick-rack! I love them, they are perfect!

I love the new checked curtains! I think that they're so cheerful and fun, and perfect for your home (I'm a "check girl", too).

When you and Jill put your talents together it is always just perfect, Kim. The new panels are so pretty and look great next to your red. I'm sure you can't imagine them not being there now, they just belong to that spot.

Great job Kim - much more "cottage looking" than a blind or shade would be, and very welcoming. Holdbacks are great. Wish I could stop by!
