I just love it when the morning sun comes inside to play in our sun room and makes everything so cheery and bright, like this sunny spot in our breakfast nook.
One lucky day, I found vintage barkcloth valances at Goodwill. After washing them on the delicate cycle and hanging them in the fresh air to dry, I promptly hung them in our sun room windows.
Then my friend, Kristi, found the SAME fabric at her Goodwill and sent it to me! Thank you Kristi! Since it truly does "take a village" to decorate Daisy Cottage, my sister, Jill, transformed the fabric into seat cushions and little pillows! Yes indeed, I am blessed!
Oh Kim, I am in the mood to curl up there right now! Things are so hectic here with painters banging ladders all over the house, dirty windows, bits huddled up everywhere, your little sunny spot relaxed me by just looking at it. Wish it were closer, I would bring a book and a spot of tea and sit a spell. As usual, your attention to details with your accessories makes it even more beautiful.

You know I just love that fun and colorful fabric! It reminds me so much of the painting I have above my fireplace:) Just lovely, Kim!

How beautiful was it today? Aaaaahh...and it is reflected so wonderfully in your picture. I missed how Kristi found the same fabric at her GoodWill. What are the odds? It was refreshing to come sit a spell with you!

Aah Kim how relaxing and enjoyable your sunroom must be! I love how Kristi remembered your fabric and found it in her thrift store so many hundreds of miles away. Your village is filled with many lovely people like Jill and Kristi who do the nicest things. And then you use your talent and make it all look perfect.

Kim, I LOVE seeing the fabric in it's "new life"! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those curtains hanging there. I knew they were destined for a new home. :) It's so nice to see them transformed and most of all loved!

Love the fact that the fabric was found on two different occasions and the results are wonderfully warm and meaningful. Lovely job.

I would love a sunroom. We hav the dream to build one off our dining room but we haven't the money yet. It will eventually be there. I love the fabric on the cushions. Gorgeous.
