My World...

My world may be very small as it is lived between my beloved home and beloved lake and sometimes lived a little beyond as I am able to wander and roam.

 

But my world has the sweetest light and the sweetest life....

Shannon and Austin are happily anticipating the arrival of their precious baby ......

 

Due on October 1st.

 

I will be a grandmother.  For the very first time.

Shawn is being deployed to bravely serve his country in Afghanistan .....

 

Departing on October 1st. 

 

 

He will be gone for one year.

 

 

Yes, you know me.  You know what I am feeling.

While always a blessing and worthy of celebration, truly do move you to bittersweet tears.

 

Not so much for their gentle reminder of the passage of time for oneself but more for their gentle reminder of those whose time has already come and gone - souls whose candles have all been blown; whose wishes have all been made; whose fears and dreams have all been lived.


Today is my birthday.

 

Thank you my dear family and friends for the precious gift of YOU. You know who you are.  I love you more than you will ever ever know!

And I love you Dad.  I have now reached YOUR milestone.  In a blink of an eye, I am here .... too soon, it seems -  yet my heart knows... right on time.  And, I am also gently reminded to live each day that I am given and to seek and SEE the beauty in everything ..
