I'll have to visit one of the conservation areas next spring when the swans return. Meanwhile, perhaps the juncos and chickadees let me get close enough to photograph them in my backyard.
I love the striking-looking black swan you've shown here.
Have a lovely weekend.

Love all of your feathered friends. I didn't realize you had black swans on your lake as I don't remember seeing them on my last visit. And there's sweet Papa Goose running with his children to greet you along with what's seems to be the entire lake population of ducks! Hope you had lots of food.

Oh, sweet Papa Goose....so happy to see him again with
his little family! I think I must love him as much as
you, Kim. He is such a precious, sweet soul. Give him
extra treats for me, please. :-)

I love the parade of ducks! My dream is to live by a duck pond. Your pictures are the next best thing!

Your photos are so beautiful as usual. I have been absent from commenting on blogs since January as I joined a photo site taking photos and feeding the ducks, geese, birds and squirrels at our local park once a week with my husband along with posting a photo a day on the site and following people all over the world and commenting on their photos also. You have some of the same ducks in your photos and such a familiar goose. We call ourselves Duckaholics as this is surely an addiction and have enjoyed every minute of it and now know how you feel about them. They sure can eat and we have named 4 of the ducks and one has gone MIA again. He has a pom pom on his head along with a mallard mate. It is a 10 minute drive from home in the town we live in with a man made lake. I have never seen a swan at the park but have been bitten 3 times by one huge goose. I am so glad you are still around and will pop in from time to time. I have to do something about my blog, either start from now or go backwards a bit and post some photos. Posting has changed as well as the music in blogging so I have to get used to that also. I miss what we had before. One day at a time and music free for now.
