Hi, it's me - Maggie.

Mommy isn't here today.

She's visiting our VERY special friend, Rhoda.  Something about sharing her new thrifting finds.

She asked me to invite you to Rhoda's place too.  I said that I would, as long as someone remembers to come back here and pay attention to me. I mean, I really don't understand why I didn't get to go... I love Rhoda!  And she loves me! She gave me a big hug when she visited last year!

So please join Mommy and Rhoda - I'm sure y'all will have fun. And I'm sure Mommy will be RIGHT back because guess what????

Today is my Mommy and Daddy's 30th wedding anniversary!!!

Wow, that's a really looooooooong time!

And you know that I know all about long!

I hope this doesn't mean that they are old.

They don't really act old.  I don't think that they do. Well... no, I really don't think so.

And do you think that this means there might be a present for ME?

One for Me and One for You

It's wash day so I'll be spending some time on my back porch...

What laundry soap do you prefer?

I happen to love the scent of Gain, especially after the clothes have dried in the fresh spring air....

Oh, and guess what?  I found two of these vintage aprons at an estate sale this weekend.  I bought one for me and one for you. If you'd like to have one, please leave a comment below and I'll pass it along to one of you!

All sweet aprons need a loving home, don't you think?

If You're a Good Girl at the Doctor's...

What does a girl do AFTER she survives her annual visit to her gynecologist, a couple of blood tests, an EKG, and a flu shot?

Why she treats herself to a hot cup of coffee AND a quick visit to her favorite clothing consignment shop!  ;-)

I'm hosting a bridal shower here at Daisy Cottage for a friend of mine and even though I never wear dresses anymore, when I saw this one hanging on the rack, I knew that it would be PERFECT for the afternoon shower..

See the daisies???   ;-)

I won't even tell you how cheap this was - you'll want to kill me.

It was that cheap!

And it appears to never have been worn!

Now, I'll have to "dress" this up a bit, of course, and will do so by wearing it with my red boots and a red sweater.  Oh, and maybe a red necklace.. or two...  or three!  ;-)

"What are you doing Mommy?"

Oh, trying to get a picture of my thrifted outfit, Maggie ...the shirts, the jeans, the boots, even the bracelets came from a thrift shop! See how my red pocketbook goes with this too?

"Whatever Mommy.... who cares? I mean, really? Please put your camera down and pick me up!"

"Please?"

Well, since you said please, I will. But honestly Maggie, you need to find a hobby too! Hey, you want to go thrifting?????   ;-)

 

Oh So Fun!

We got back last night from spending a WONDERFUL weekend with our daughter, Shannon.  It was "Parents' Weekend" at her college and we had such a great time with her and her roommates - they are all too cute for words - and we saw a fabulous football game.... especially because we won!  ;-)

Shannon and I got in some thrifting time, of course, and I found a vintage red pocketbook in one of our favorite shops that I just love!!  I know, I know, it's not for everyone - but it is for me!  ;-)

Perfect to go with my red boots, right?  ;-)
