Isn't it wonderful when we can see the beauty in the less than perfect things that surround us and even in the shabby, old, and discarded? We ARE lucky, aren't we?

I think so.

You have to get the book "For the Love of Old" by Mary Randolph Carter.

Oh, my!!! Add me to the group that is IN LOVE with that blue, chippy, fabulous chair!!! It's okay with me that not everyone sees the beauty in my vintage and antique lovelies...more for me!!! LOL!!!

Beauty is truly in the eyes of the beholder. And, blessed are the eyes that are able to behold beauty in all.

We are all blessed through your eyes.

I just heart that chair~sigh~no matter how hard you try you could never get that glorious aged color and look.

Blessings,
Carol

You sure have a knack of pulling things together & enhancing their beauty!
Hugs, DebraK

Oh what pretty pictures! I so agree with you. There is a charm in things from days gone by that is just hard to duplicate with newer items. Lovely post! xoxo ~ Joy J.

Wonderful photos----wonderful words.

I so agree! I am always on the lookout for pieces with potential. I have listed some before and after photos today. Cheers...Pam

Hi Kim! I've been absent from blog land far too long! I love your sentiment, AND the blue chair! :)

Oh Kim-
I'm just in love with your sweet home. I've been a "blog stalker" for quite some time now. My husband and I just moved into a new house last week, and while it's not a cottage like yours, I'm using Daisy Cottage for my inspiration!

If you have time, check out my blog. I've recently started a blog design business and would love it if you have any friends in need of blog makeovers to point my way!

Kim, I have the mate to your lovely old chair, and a set of glasses just like those, only in pink!

We are indeed very lucky!
