Kitchen Clutter
Well, the putzing did continue into the kitchen, and while I tried to rearrange and clean up some of the clutter, I'm not sure if I was very successful with that! I did paint a cabinet that was in our bedroom, white, and moved it in here for extra storage. Isn't this letter K fun? I bought it on sale at Anthropologie in Miami...
Now that my counters are somewhat clean, I need to get out my favorite mixing bowl, don my favorite apron, and make a birthday cake for my favorite daughter who is turning 19 tomorrow!
where oh where have the years gone?

Oh! how beautiful! I just love your kitchen! I have always loved the black and white tiles. Your kitchen looks so warm and inviting.

Kim if that is clutter, than I just became a big fan of clutter! Love the "K", that's darling. Happy Birthday to your sweetie pie. Yep, my son is now in his thirties. Time is really moving fast these days. xoxo

Kim, this is my first visit to your site, I think. I would have remembered your beautiful cottage. I think we all dream about living in a restored piece of history. I love your interests, they are so much like mine.
Your kitchen is charming. I love the red, black and white. BJ at SWEET NOTHINGS, is having a blog of kitchens around the country. Send your photos and let a lot more bloggers share your lovely kitchen.
Have a great day and get on that B-day cake
Blessings, Jeanne

I am glad you posted this for today. I was planning in the future to rework my kitchen, but you lit a fire under me. I am feeling rather lazy today, but now you force me to get up and get busy. I am sure my children will thank you. :) They like it when their Mommy's kitchen looks pretty. :)

Hi Kim -
I love your kitchen. It is so home-y and cozy. I wish my cabinets were open above so I could put more of my treasures out. We are still working on our kitchen re-do and I can't wait until it's complete! I'll share it when it's done.

Your kitchen looks great. I do the same thing. I'll go in and de-clutter because I think I have too much stuff out. Then I go to someone's house that has stuff out, so I go home and put mine back out. Back and forth I go. Tell me I'm not the only one that does that!
Listen to Trace Adkins' new song, "You're Gonna Miss This." Not that you don't appreciate your daughter. She's a lucky girl to have a Mom who cares so much. We all need to slow down and appreciate our children as they grow up so fast. My little girl just turned 38 and my son will be 36 in the fall. Holy Moly where did the time go. And how did I not age when they did? LOL.

Where indeed, Kim! I just posted about my daughter's college graduation and how I made it through that whole day just fine, only to lose it the following day while helping clean out her dorm room (sigh). Yes, where do the years go?? Happy baking ...Donna

Your kitchen is wonderful. I think I might actually like to cook in there!
Happy Birthday to you daughter. It seems just yesterday that you were posting about her 18th birthday.

Hi Kim
This Kat might just have to run and get one of those K's...too cute. Love your red kitchen with the black and white tiles. So happy looking. Yesterday you invited us for wine...may I invite myself for a cup of coffee so we can sit and chat in your sweet kitchen?
Happy Birthday to your daughter.
Hugs!
Kat

Such organized "clutter" :) I love the letter K and I also love how you paint your cabinets leaving the drawer fronts in their original state.
Have a great Birthday with your daughter.
