HI, I just came across your site at the end of last week , and after a busy weekend of ballet recitals(6 yr old) and guitar lessons (8 yr old) I wanted to come back for all the inspiration I found in your photos. I have been aimlessly decorating and landscaping with only a slight idea of what I REALLY liked mixed with what my old house was trying to say to me, and thanks to your site it hit me like a ton of bricks and also like something that was right in front of me the whole time. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, I now feel like I can start making our house into a home.
This post reminded me of a little song I used to sing to my children to get them out of bed: "Way up in the sky, the little birds fly, while down in the nest, the little birds rest..." And it goes on until you loudly say, "SHHH...YOU MIGHT WAKE THE BIRDIES!!!" I love your little bird sculptures! My grandpa collected them when he was alive and he loved birds. Good memories!!
Kim, I have been walking in circles since I commented this morning,So many ideas, but WHERE TO BEGIN, any tips you or your friends could pass on would be appreciated, thanks, suki
Well, they are certainly prettier than the ravens in the grocery store parking lot this morning--and probably less noisy, LOL! The ravens were laughing very loudly at something. I wonder what was so funny?
Just discovered your blog and absolutely amazed at it's beauty. So inspiring and especially loved strolling through Savannah. Definitely will return often. Thank you for sharing your life and home with all of us fortunate enough to have found you.
love all your birdie vignettes! I have that Everyday Bird book too. Stop by to sign in for my vintage pink giveaway- maybe should do a red and yellow one for you ;)
