The Little Blue Table That Could
When Rhoda was here, we went to my favorite consignment shop and we saw this little blue table. I thought it might be the perfect one to go beside our yellow chair in the living room. I didn't get it though - I left it behind.
A couple of days later, as I was sweeping up hairballs beside the yellow chair, I realized that the little blue table COULD go perfectly in the living room, so I went back to the shop, hoping it would still be there - and it was! The sweet salesperson even reduced its' already low price!
Now my question for you is - should the table stay blue or would it look better in red?
I think I'm liking the punch of blue ......
Hmmm - what to do, what to do!

i think its so summery that i would leave it for awhile but i know when fall came i would be painting it red if it were mine. its adorable!!!

I love the blue! It is a great counter to the red. How cute would it be with a white vase and red flowers! (and the yellow flowers look great too!)

hmmm... I like the blue, but without seeing the whole room it's hard to say. That particular shade of blue is so lovely, though! And summer is coming, so maybe the table should stay that color and herald the season? Paint it red at Christmastime!

Wow, what a great find! I wish I could be so lucky. :o) I love the blue. I think it works beautifully with the reds & yellows in the room. I say leave it "as is".

Well, I love the blue. Red would be pretty too--but you already have so much red. Blue would give the table its own personality and make it stand out in Daisy Cottage. Anyway, it would be a shame to cover up that beautiful blue.

Oh I think it would be really cute in red but then again, I'm a huge red fan :)

It doesn't need a thing! Why paint it? You already like it blue.It looks perfect to me!
If it's crying red tho,by all means...go for it :-)

Kim, I think you want to keep it blue or you would've already painted it ;) It looks absolutely darling in the spot you picked. I love the book added in the same color. If you decide to paint it later it will look cute in red too, but for now, I'd stay with this lovely spring shade of blue :)

I think the blue is delightful. Live with it awhile before you decide. I love your blog.

Oh, please, please, please don't paint it! Turquoise with red is so vintage and pretty!

Well I think it's one more vote for blue-but a big picture of the room would help me decide for sure...Is that a sneaky way of getting more pics from you or what? And are you sure you're no just teasing us with this Daisy Cottage name? Or is it really about a 5,ooo sq. ft. little mansion? There's always room for one more thing without it looking cluttered. You've got the magic touch!

Kelly

I agree with Pat. It is an unexpected treat to find this sweet blue table.
I adore red and blue but seeing this, as it now is, is such fun.
You can always get out that pain later on.
Love to you dear Kim!

Before I read the other comments, I want to voice my opinion without any pressure!! heh heh
I LOVE the unexpected jolt of blue ! And, knowing how great YOU are at decorating, and you say you like it, there's not a doubt in my mind that it should stay blue....at least for awhile. Paint is so easy to change colors so.....be blue for awhile....come winter time, when you want things all cozy and warm, give it a lick of red....

Kim,
The table is so sweet blue. It reminds me of a robins egg and so cottagey (if that is a word. I would keep it blue. It's kind of like hair you can always change the color. hehe Hugs, Bobbi Jo
