I found this sweet window valance at the Good Shephard Hospice Thrift Shop for $1. I washed it on the gentle cycle and hung it in the fresh air to dry. I love how the morning light softly peeks through the fabric. And who says money can't buy happiness? ;-)

I love the way the light filters through your new valance. And what a wonderful price!
P.S. I did indeed make a heart for you and posted about it today. I'm mailing it out tomorrow as I have quite a few packages to take to the post office.
Hi Kim,
I love your valance and I love the story on your blog in Artful Blogging. You must be very proud. I commented a while back about Edgar Guest and my Dad, if you remember. Just wanted you to know that I just started a blog myself. Hopefully I slowly figure things out! My technical knowledge is truly only the basics! Anyway, thanks for your inspiration - blogs like yours are what finally got me going!
I too would love to see your former home !!! I was at our Barnes & Noble and read your article in Artful Blogging....I turned to my grilfriend and said "hmmmm I know this girl"....lol Seriously nice job !!!
I posted a mosaic lamp today on my blog and someone said it belonged in "Daisy Cottage" because it would look great with your "black chairs and yellow table". Come see it when you have a moment :-)
Hugs,
Penny

You can take anything that anyone has cast off and make it charming. What a gift.

So sweet. Where would we be without our beloved thrift stores? And I know the environment thanks us for participating in recycling. :)
I've been thinking...I soo loved your old house. How about a feature on your home pre-Daisy Cottage?
