I love this red broom that stays on Daisy Cottage's front porch....
And, yes, I enjoy sweeping our porch - it is a simple and calming task.
It's the little things - right? ;-)

Happy Sunday Kim,
I so get it! I've have a broom my Grandma gave me on my front porch and it's peaceful being out there sweeping - and listening to the quiet.
Yep, went to look, my trusty ole broom is ready and waiting in the corner on the back porch. It's "red" is a bit faded but still does a fine job ridding out dust n stuff.
Don't tell but once in a while it convinces a neighbor's puppy dog not to aggrivate "Scooter" our cat. No! it doesn't hit them...but sometimes they think it might.
Happy Sunday! I love the broom. My mother used one like that when I was growing up. I can hear the sound of your sweeping now. Such a calming, soothing sound of housekeeping! You're the best KIM. xo Rachel
Great 'old' broom, and a great photo of the broom. It IS the little things, and you're so good at enjoying them and bringing them to our attention.
P.S. Your heart is on its way!
I sooooo "get it"! :o) There is something very satisfying about the little things like a nice broom, now isn't there. Lucky you to be living somewhere where this isn't a ton of snow that you are having to shovel today!! :o)
I recall my grandmother sweeping her porch on a regular basis. They covered the porch in that awful putting green carpet in the 70's and she just kept right on sweeping! How I'd love to have that broom now...
If I know that I have someone coming over, I always grab the broom and sweep the front porch. Something from bygone days. It's calming. I've been know to go out in the dark and sweep. I love your broom and is a definite "gotta have".
Joy...

No body else on the planet could take pictures of a red broom, propped up against a bright yellow wall and make it look this great!! AND, no body else can make ME want a RED BROOM for MY front porch like you can. You are wearing me out...everytime I see something fabulous on YOUR site, it throws me into FIND ONE LIKE IT mode and off I go. Slow down, girl...let me catch my breath!! :)
