Scrubbing and Shuffling
Although Maggie FINALLY forgave me yesterday and made her way back to my lap (she sends you BIG kisses for your sweet understanding of her angst), she didn't get to stay very long as I had some scrubbing to do. But as always, tying one of these on sweetened that chore....
I tidied up a bit when I was done with the scrubbing. I bought this perfectly chippy, wooden red bed frame from my FAVORITE local shop, and until we turn it into a bench or something else, these throws are hanging out on it....
Fun, right? Oh, and I also brought home four black chairs from the shop and moved tables around AGAIN - the round black kitchen table is now the new "game" and extra dining table in the living room, which really means that the ORIGINAL square kitchen table is back in the kitchen. Confusing, isn't it? ;-)
I have more scrubbing and shuffling to do today, but I look forward to spending some time in THIS chair, with a magazine and a forgiving doxie on my lap, just as soon as I am done! :-)

So glad Maggie forgave you. Your aprons are beautiful. Are they hanging in your kitchen? I don't remember. ~Adrienne~

Poor Maggie felt like she had lost her dignity. Glad she's forgiven you.
Everything looks wonderful and such a great way to use the bed frame.

Hi Kim,
I love the bed frame. That chippy red paint is just wonderful! I have to say I'm dying over that black table, in fact my post today was about painting things black. Now you have me eyeing my dining table!

Can't wait to see what you make of the bed frame. It's great! Isn't it fun to putter around after the Holidays.....after all the decorations are safely put away for another year.
All the Best to You.....Rosie

Hi Kim Always fun to stop by and see what you're up to. You sure are lucky to have such good shops near you! It's slim pickins where I live :( I think black chairs are great. Black adds punch to a room doesn't it? Hope you're having a great weekend. Rhondi xo

Hello Kim
I love your wonderful apron collection, so bright and cheery, I love moving and change things around, not the cleaning through ugh!
Sound so nice to sit and read a magazine, I do this when I am all alone and my kids are asleep for the night, no interuptions.....

I always feel more efficient when I have an apron on! You have so many to choose from! Love the chippy red bed frame. That'll make a cute bench (do show how when you get around to making it)

I am so glad to see the black chairs as I just primed one today and will be painting it black tomorrow. Until now the final product was only a visual in my head. I really like them!!!!!! Maggie is adorable!

Hi Kim! I love the red bed (I think you SHOULD make a bench--it's easy peasy!), and the chairs are really great. I need to run over and check out the link to your favorite shop now!

You find the best things from your "favorite store" - I like the red bed frame too. I have a bench made out a full size Jenny Lynn like that. Your black chairs are a fantastic find too. I am going to locate your Goodwill store when I come down there this spring. LOL
Give that Maggie a hug for me and enjoy reading in your favorite chair.
Hugs,
Connie

Ellie would like to comment...she says to tell you that she also feels that Maggie is very beautiful no matter what, and she would like to live with you now and not me... i don't decorate enough for her. She's looked up at my computer screen as I read your blog and noticed all the beautiful colors, the pretty aprons and cozy chairs! So if you would like to host a collie, she's packing her bags. (sigh)

Kim,
I love those black chairs. Glad Maggie's forgiven you (she knows you meant well!).
Also, looking forward to your article on Debbie & Gene's home which sweet Fifi shared on her blog ~ congratulations sweetie!
As far as moving tables- it's fun moving furniture around to mix things up. Hope you had lots of time in the comfy chair with Maggie.

Kim
It's been fun tonight catching up with you. I missed so much while my Mom and Aunt were visiting last week. Lots of beautiful photos and great ideas.
Poor Maggie. Our Miss Daisy sends hugs and kisses...she well remembers the day she had to be practically shaved. All is back to normal now though. She's our pretty girl again.
Hugs!

You colors match so perfectly, I am always amazed at that. Love your new chippy headboard and footboard, what room are they headed for? Nice aprons, so cute hung all in a row. Hugs, Cindy

I'm so glad Maggie is feeling better. I'm afraid I was a little too harsh on her with my comment before. I know how she feels. I often feel the same way when I come home from the stylist. But she's beautiful even with short hair.
