Breakfast At The Diner
I think some of the BEST breakfasts are served at the local diners - and the older the better too..
Nothing fancy - but predictably comforting and the coffee is always on..
And when you share a breakfast like this one with your one and only sweet son, who needs linens and fine china?
I know the days ahead are going to be very busy ones for many of us, but I hope that you can steal a few moments away to enjoy the simple things... like a good, old-fashioned diner breakfast! Even if it isn't low-cal! ;-)

Love it Kim, reminds me of breakfasts at home when I was little. Now I couldn't eat it with-out feeling gulity! Glad you had a lovely visit with your son. Hugs for you today!

Oh Kim, I sooooo love local diners! And breakfast out is such a treat...my favorite meal of the day, actually. I love a place like in your pics; no fuss, no muss and no doubt very cheery, with the clank of silverware on dishware and waitresses bustling about with pots of coffee (my not-so-secret addiction!). Great way to spend time with your son...enjoy your weekend!
xoxo

My oldest son (27) and I have breakfast fairly regularly at Cracker Barrel or sometimes I cook up a big breakfast for him (OK, I might eat just a bit, lol)here. It is a great way to keep in touch and although I am not a breakfast eater, (yeah I know it is the most important meal, yada, yada) it sure tastes good about 9:00 or so especially if someone else cooks it.

Your post reminds me that it's been too long since I've visited the local diner for breakfast. Thanks for the reminder. Good advice for us at this time of the year to take some time and relax.

Mmmmm... I LOVE eating breakfast out and sometimes I even order it for dinner if we are someplace that serves breakfast all day. I can smell the aroma of fresh brewed coffee, bacon, eggs and hashbrowns now! Yummy! But it's nice that I just saved a ton of calories and cholesterol by sharing breakfast with you. :D

Looks like you had an old fashioned kind of day! The breakfast looks yummy. We go to a little cafe every saturday morning. It is a ritual. It is so wonderful to walk in and see faces that you know and just yack at other folk. Yes I love living an old fashioned life!

These are the best places to eat! We sometimes call them "the greasy spoon" places. Good old fashioned food that seems to stick to the ribs all day long! I have caught up with your lovely posts! I am really fond of your books on the mantle! So very colorful. It is always amazing at your adorable cottage!!
Blessings,
Becky
