Tea For Two And YOU

Mom and I had tea today at Camellia Rose, which is located just a town away. It was our first visit there and it was a delightful one. The attention to detail was wonderful and very appreciated by us. When I made the reservations, they wanted to know both of our first names and we understood why when we saw our pretty table ....

Luckily, I had my camera with me, so I took some pictures to share with you. Camellia Rose was dressed in its' finery, ready for the day's first tea. Everything was so feminine and pretty to see and I loved their collection of hats...

The table settings were charming....

Everything was just lovely.....

And the tea and sweet goodies were SCRUMPTIOUS! I hope you enjoyed having some afternoon tea with Mom and me!   :-)

   

So Thoughtful

You know, every SINGLE day I am just amazed and so touched by the blogging community - from the kind and generous readers to the wonderful bloggers who share so much of their spirit with others... amazed AND so thankful for ALL of you.  And when I received this beautifully wrapped package from dear Debra and read her nice note (that is now pinned here) I was graced again with another random act of thoughtfulness.

This precious book is just SOOOOOOOO sweet! Oh how I love it!

Thank you Debra, thank you so very much! Your book will have a home here in Daisy Cottage - always. 

All Clean

After playing in here all weekend, my office is all nice and clean and I'm hoping that I can keep it this way for a few days at least! ;-)  I need to finish the labels for these cute black & white folders and go through a few more drawers, but all in all, everything is in its' proper place and hopefully I can find the stamps and tape dispenser when I need to!

Some of you wanted to see more pictures of my office so I thought I'd share these today. I love having this space in our home - it is where I work on the family budget, pay the bills, write, spend dreamy quality time with my decorating books and of course, "chat" with you. I keep my gift wrapping supplies and other papery things in the brown dresser behind my red chair. The creamy buffet holds files, notebooks, and lots of miscellaneous things.  I just picked up the shaggy green rug from Lowe's - it is actually two rugs that I put side by side as one wouldn't have been wide enough. It is kind of silly looking - yet fun, don't you think? I hope you are having a wonderful Monday.. I'm going to make some more coffee and pay a few bills now!  xo, Kim

 

   

Notes From You

I spent some time yesterday, puttering around in my office and placing my CHERISHED notes and cards from you on this memo board that I got from Home Goods last week..... and because I am SO BLESSED with THE sweetest readers and blogging friends, I quickly realized that I need to go back and get another board so that I am able to display each one that I have received as I have kept them all. (((hugs)))   And, because it was obviously "Spoil Miss Maggie May Week", I also splurged on this black & white polka dotted bench for her to relax on when I am working in here...(she can't jump up on regular furniture as she is very very bow-legged... shhh, don't say anything as she is sensitive about that)     ;-)

Because I was busy, she WAS very content to lounge in style - but I know that as soon as I sit down, only my lap will do!

Oh, and can you see the cute "K" tag hanging with the notes?

Karla made that and sent it to me! Thank you Karla!

I am so glad that your VERY special notes and cards to me are no longer tied up with a bow, but displayed on my office wall so that I may think of you and THANK YOU each time that I glance that way. 

A Lovely Shop

 

Am I the luckiest girl or what? A lovely shop, simply named "Vintage,Inc.", has just opened up in MY NEIGHBORHOOD!   Be still my heart! Angie, the sweet-as-can-be owner, kindly allowed me to take these pictures this morning of her charming spaces so that I could share them with you! Pour yourself a tall glass of tea and enjoy .....

Why Mommy?

"Why did you take my new red collar off, Mommy?"

Because, Maggie, it is time for your bath - one of three that you'll have over the next week! Hopefully all of this stuff will make your itchies go away! (and thank you all for your helpful hints because if this doesn't work I am going to give those a try) Now sit still sweetie and be a good girl .....

A Red Collar For Maggie

Maggie had to go to the vet today. She is still having some allergy issues. She was such a good girl that I took her to her favorite boutique afterward and treated her to a beautiful new red collar and a sparkly "M"!

I think she'll feel better now!

    

Chippy Rosettes

Have you visited Heather's shop yet? Her PresentPast Collection just oozes beauty off of your computer screen. I fell in love with these chippy wooden rosettes when I stopped by her grand opening and knew that I would find a zillion spots for them to perch here in our home. This is the package that I received - isn't it wonderful? Heather, you KNOW that I appreciated every single detail that went into the packaging and shipping of these gems to me! Here is one of the rosettes as I unwrapped the creamy tissue -

Oh how I love the layers of aqua and green paint on these!

I'm sure that they will hang out all over our cottage, but for now I will enjoy seeing them resting here next to the fireplace, serving no purpose other than being perfectly FUN accessories to my Goodwill painting! And that works for me!  ;-)

Some Blue For A Bath

Well this is where the $3 blue cabinet from the yard sale ended up - in this corner of our tiny bathroom, next to our blue and white shower curtain. I want to add more of this color AND other colors and patterns in here for a jumbled up mix of punch and fun. The unframed floral painting that you see on the wall was painted by "Nell Miller". Who is Nell Miller? I don't know, but when I saw her artwork discarded carelessly in the bin at Goodwill, I knew that it had to come home with me. Again, I had no idea where it would go as I put it in my cart, but I knew that it was just too delightful to leave behind. And see how the little red flower on the lotion bottle gets noticed now? I just love it when that happens!        ;-)
